Furuno ARPA - X-Band and S-Band Radars
Reliable performance, with improved target detection and user interface capability. The FAR: 21x7/28x7 Series of Radar from Furuno meets the IMO and IEC's latest performance requirements. This series of radars also meet the requirements for ships below 10,000 gt. Furuno's design is aimed at providing radar systems, which meet the ever increasing demands for efficient ship management. DVI (Digital Video Interface) provides a sharp, crisp and clear display and advanced, fast signal processing enhances the target detection. AIS data can be incorporated on screen, when interfaced with an AIS Transponder and Receiver to give the operator a better perspective and greater awareness of the ship's situation. The system's advanced navigational accuracy increases operation efficiency and improves safety. |

Networked System - 100 Base-TX Ethernet Up to as many as four FAR-21x7/28x7 series radar units with FEA-2107/2807 ECDIS can be linked to share navigational data across units within the network. This stable, high speed network capability provides a choice from a single station up to a complete Integrated Navigational System. |

Target Tracking(TT: ARPA)/AIS Complete Target Tracking capability, plotting up to 100 targets and displaying up to 1000 AIS targets from the AIS transponder. Detailed information can be shown in cells to the right of the screen, with the AIS Target Tracking scheme giving the operator full control. An AIS symbol is shown if it is a normal, sleeping, selected, dangerous or lost target. |

Fusion - Target Association Identification of targets can be made by both TT and AIS and can be shown with two respective symbols, made possible because the position of the AIS is measured by a GPS navigator, in L/L. TT targets are calculated by range and bearing and the TT symbols merge with the AIS symbols, provided each symbol is in the set criteria. This is determined by the varying range, bearing, speed and course, as well as other data. |

Target Tracking Trails Target trails generate a graduated shading trail on all displayed tracking targets and echo trails are shown in relative or true motion. True trail is only shown on TM and relative trails displayed on movement between targets and ships. True motion trails are only visible from a gyrocompass signal and the speed of the ship input so as to cancel the vessel's movement and current target movements in relationship to their own over-the-ground speed or course. |

Radar Map Lines and marks combine to define the radar map and the input of monitoring information of navigation route plan and area. As many as 20,000 Points can be included in the radar map and all its data saved and repeated for use on regular routes. When networked with ECDIS the radar's planned routes may be applied to the radar display. |

Ergonomic Layout - stress-free operation The control unit's logical layout and arrangement is such that the application of key and trackball give the operator an organised menu, ensuring all operations and functions may be controlled from the trackball. versatile control units Full keyboard control head Trackball control head Trackball provides an alternative to the keyboard. It can be used as a remote control and placed in easy reach of the captain's seat. |
