A reliable classic with revolutionary features
Designed and developed on the long tradition of SAILOR VHFs, Thrane & Thrane is proud to introduce the new SAILOR RT5022 VHF DSC. The new SAILOR RT5022 is a serious and reliable choice for the professional seaman, fulfilling and even exceeding GMDSS requirements.

Replay incoming calls
As the first VHF ever, the SAILOR RT5022 can store and replay incoming calls. The bridge being a busy and sometimes noisy place, this facility increases the safety at sea as a missed message just can be heard again.

Two displays, separate menus
The display and menus have been separated into two with the main VHF functions shown in a 7-segment display and the DSC functions and settings shown in a graphic LCD display. The graphic display can reset to sleep mode when not used. In this way the night vision is not disturbed. The 7-segment display is clearly readable at a distance and from even very wide angles. Both displays have text and indicators lit in red, which does not disturb the night vision.

The basic system
The SAILOR RT5022 includes a very powerful transmitter, a very sensitive and accurate receiver and a built-in loudspeaker. The new SAILOR HS5001 Handset is standard. This new handset is designed to fit perfectly in your hand, has a high sound quality.

The SAILOR RT2048 VHF is a conveniently small set that fits on almost any bridge and built to last in the rough conditions at sea. The SAILOR RT2048 is ideal for vessels, where the VHF is needed as a daily tool for communication The VHF has an integrated transmitter, receiver and a powerful loudspeaker. On top of the built-in loudspeaker with good sound, an external loudspeaker can also be connected. The powerful VHF operates with a continuous output power of 25W on all channels, which means it can be operated at all times. The SAILOR RT2048 is equipped with all 54 international VHF channels plus a choice of either 10 private channels and full scanning facilities, or 40 private channels. Dual watch and quick channel 16 are standard.

The SAILOR RT4822 is a simplex/semiduplex VHF and approved for GMDSS installations.

The SAILOR RT4822 is a part of SAILOR’s compact System 4000 GMDSS solution and is especially suitable for the professional maritime business. The SAILOR RT4822 is an advanced DSC unit (class A) with all the necessary equipment built into one compact unit. This VHF was introduced on the market in 1998 and is today  used all over the world on many different types of vessels. It has maintained and enhanced the reputation of SAILOR VHFs as user friendly and reliable at all times. In April 2005 a new VHF, the RT5022, has been introduced to the market and will continue the SAILOR legacy being a “classic with revolutionary new features”.

The basic system of the SAILOR RT4822 consists of one unit only – integrated transmitter, receiver and loudspeaker along with a handset. The SPARC-bus interface, an advanced balanced data and AF interface, can be used to interconnect multiple control units.

An external loudspeaker can be connected.
