SharpEye is the first major radar innovation in 60 years giving ships an S-Band system which cuts through the clutter and the costs of maintenance and magnetron replacements.

SharpEye’s S-Band radar technology brings commercial radar into the 21st century. Greater reliability and more predictable operating costs are its biggest attractions.

High powered magnetrons, which needed replacing so regularly, at such high cost, are gone, as is the dependency on the modulator. In their place, a solid state, transistor powered amplifier.

SharpEye presents information on a clear, daylight viewable, flat screen. The overlay of chart information increases its value to the Officer of the Watch. Precise, clearer data improves safety, reducing the potential for collision and groundings.
