The range of SAILOR MF/HF products comprise 150W, 250W and 500W solutions which are all GMDSS approved. They have been designed and developed to cope with the demand for reliable communication equipment under the tough conditions at sea. Ease of use and high performance are important issues both in daily communication as well as in critical situations and the SAILOR MF/HF solutions are developed to fulfil these requirements.

The SAILOR MF/HF 150W is the latest in the range of highly integrated MF/HF/DSC radio communications system for GMDSS. The 150W is specially designed to fulfil the need for reliable communications in small boats and fishing vessels.

The SAILOR MF/HF 250W and SAILOR MF/HF 500W are the more powerful systems in the range of SAILOR MF/HFs.

SAILOR System 4000 150W MF/HF Class E

Small, powerful and speaks several languages
With the possibility of having the menu in various languages as well as being R&TTE approved, the SAILOR MF/HF 150W Class E not only fulfils the GMDSS requirements for an MF/HF Class E, it is also very easy to use. It has been developed specifically with ease of use in focus and to meet specific user requirements.

The SAILOR MF/HF 150W has been designed to cope with the demand for reliable communications under the toughest conditions at high sea on board professional fishing vessels and work boats, where a user-friendly and high performing radio is crucial to daily communications. Reliability and high performance are well-known features of the SAILOR radios and the MF/HF 150W is no exception. The SAILOR 150W satisfies the MF/HF requirements of GMDSS installations, where Class E DSC is sufficient.

The SAILOR HC4601 Control Unit is very easy to operate with logic and user-friendly menus. It requires a minimum of space for installation and the separate handset and powerful loudspeaker enable a very flexible installation.

The ruggedized Transceiver Unit HT4611 is housed in a heatsink metal cabinet where no mechanical fans for cooling are needed, providing long product life expectancy. It can thus be installed in a minimum of space and can be operated the entire day without overheating. The highly effective 150W PEP transceiver ensures 150 Watt output power on all channels.

All ITU channels are pre-programmed in the HT4611, and private channels can easily be chosen from the menu of the Control Unit.

The integrated DSC modem handles distress alert calls, acknowledgement calls, all ship calls, individual station calls including polling and ship position request calls and direct dial semi-automatic/automatic service calls.

A separate built-in receiver constantly watches on channel 2187.5 for safety related communications, and up to 6 advanced programmable scanning programmes watch for daily communications.

The Antenna Tuning Unit HA4619 in a polycarbonate cabinet is designed for outdoor installation. The highly efficient antenna tuning unit provides a powerful signal that improves the quality of communication.

The SAILOR MF/HF 150W is prepared for interfacing with an external modem for cost-effective data communication. The SAILOR System 4000 150W Class E is R&TTE approved by Italian Authorities.

SAILOR MF/HF 250W

One unit – many functions
The range of SAILOR MF/HF radios in system 4000 includes 150W, 250W and 500W solutions. All three systems are designed to meet the requirements for professional communications equipment on board vessels world-wide and comply with the GMDSS requirements.

The SAILOR MF/HF 250W is an integrated system with voice, DSC and radio-telex built into one unit. The system is very flexible and can be delivered in a number of different combinations in order to fulfil the individual needs onboard different types of vessels.

The SAILOR MF/HF 250W satisfies the MF/HF requirements for GMDSS requirements in sea area A2, A3 and A4.

The basic system
The basic system consists of the SAILOR HT4520 Transceiver Unit, The SAILOR HC4500 Control Unit and the SAILOR HA4525 Antenna Tuning Unit. The transceiver unit exists in four different versions.
