One annual payment normally covers all spare parts and all attendances anywhere in the world. Under the terms of these Blue Chip Maintenance Agreements, ships' bridge electronics are protected from fault or failure worlwide wherever they sail.
Maintaining Operational Capability
At the core of every ship is its wheelhouse. Vital equipment such as radars, gyros, satcoms and GMDSS are all essential for maintaining a ship's operational capability.
Blue Chip agreements provide for their maintenance and repair.
We repair the equipment and settle the costs. All our customers have to do is report the fault and we do the rest.
Blue Chip means your staff are able to concentrate on other important issues such as revenue building activities.
We can, over time, analyse your equipment's reliability and provide you with a range of statistical and management information about its performance. Such data can help with new equipment purchasing decisions, giving you an objective view on cost and performance.
Limiting Your Risk
With Blue Chip your cost is limited to your annual Blue Chip payment and your maintenance risks are under control.
From our offices in Dorking to our control centre in Rome, we manage our operations across the world.
We look after all makes of equipment and organise the service intervention with the appropriate manufacturer's agents and local representatives. We take care to manage the logistics by sourcing, supplying and directing spares to where they are needed.
We determine the outcome of the service visit and assess the service report to establish whether any further work is needed.
We settle the bill, not you. Your work is limited to the original request for service intervention.
All your costs are normally covered in the fixed annual fee, payable quarterly. There are no hidden extras and no limit to the number of call outs.
Blue Chip is the ideal way of outsourcing problems and can cut your costs in other areas, reducing staffing overheads and limiting your financial exposure.
