Nera F77 includes high speed ISDN at 64 Kbit/s, which permits fast data transfer. With Nera F77 improved voice, fax and data access are possible. Vessels can now take part in video conferencing, multiplexing several voice, fax and data connections. It allows group 3 faxes to transmit at speeds of up to 14.4 Kbit/s and for group 4 faxes to send one page in a few seconds at 64 Kbit/s.
With Nera F77, ships at sea will have at their command the communication tools associated with everyday business on land. This is because the Nera F77 terminal uses the world's first global maritime Mobile Packet Data service ((MPDS). This gives a ship online access to a whole range of applications like Internet and e-mail. This service can be always on. Because you only pay for the data transmitted, not for the time connected, you can choose to be permanently online.
All Nera F77 installations are prepared for the next generation of Inmarsat satellites. When these come into service, there will be no need to upgrade the hardware.

Nera F77 terminals are available in two different configurations Ð one is a deck mounted installation, the second is mast mounted. This means that virtually all types of vessels, both large and small, can be accommodated. In each case the new antenna is notably compact and easy to install.
The Nera F77 Antenna is small in size and a low in weight, making it is easy to install and service for retrofit.
Nera F77 Above Deck Equipment (ADE) mast mounted radome enables safe inspection and service.
All Nera F77 ADE connectors and metal parts are protected against corrosion.
Distance between ADE and Below Deck Equipment ((BDE) may be up to 400 m (125 m is typical for regular cable).
